Carlson Private Capital Partners
Carlson Private Capital Partners is a private investment formed by the Carlson family, a family deeply rooted in a legacy of entrepreneurship and operational excellence. We invest family capital in businesses best served by an investment partner focused on long term value creation and collaborate with exceptional management teams to build great businesses.
The Carlson family and our investment professionals have a deeply seated understanding of what it is like to be owners and operators of businesses over generations and what it takes to build and grow enterprises built to last. As a result, we have access to a vast network of connections, resources and capital that allow us to tailor an approach and provide expertise unique to each situation.
We look for businesses generating revenue of $25-500 million, EBITDA of $5-50 million+ and invest $20-100 million per deal. We have a preference for family or entrepreneur owned businesses, or management teams looking for a transition from private equity ownership. We invest in every industry, especially industrial, consumer, and services.

Today, Iconiq directly invests into deals. At first, this was limited to venture capital style investments, but more recently it has commenced also pursuing buyouts of more mature technology companies.
Sowell and Company
Sowell & Co. is a family investment office investing in private equity, oil & gas, and land development. The partners invest their own capital in each venture, rather than raising outside funds, and believe that such investment creates a longer term investment horizon that better aligns investors with its management team partners.
Sowell & Co.'s Private Equity Group invests its own capital to support growing companies, management buyouts, recapitalizations and corporate divestitures in both healthy and distressed situations. We focus on backing experienced managers by making $2 - $20 million investments in companies that typically have less than $10 million of EBITDA.
The Oil and Gas group of Sowell & Co. creates value through the prudent use of capital timed with Industry knowledge. Sowell & Co. invests both directly and indirectly in many facets of the Oil & Gas Industry.
Sowell & Co. Real Estate activities have included most product types since its inception in 1972. The experiences through those years have refined Sowell & Co.'s primary focus to development land. Current projects vary in uses among retail parcels, industrial sites, multifamily tracts and single-family land and lots.
