The Cooper Family Office was formed by Howard Cooper, who primarily generated his wealth from stock trading.
Hersh Family Investments
Hersh Family Investments is the family office of the Kenneth A. Hersh family. Hersh Family Investments (HFI) exists to enhance the financial, civic and philanthropic interests of the family, and, in combination with NLM Capital Partners and a number of related entities, we invest the family's capital in businesses with exceptional management teams and the potential to create substantial long-term value.
We primarily seek to partner with management teams to make investments in growth focused businesses with an established track record of success. We like businesses with proven business models, a sustainable and defendable franchise, strong returns on invested capital, strong free cash flow generation with opportunities for reinvestment, the ability to add value operationally or via acquisition/organic growth, future catalysts for value creation, and alignment of incentives with the operating team.
We prefer the following investment types:
Buy-and-Build Opportunities: Provide capital to companies in fragmented industries to support a stronger competitive position through strategic acquisitions.
Mid to Late Stage Growth Capital: Provide capital to businesses with a solid market opportunity and a proven product or service to substantially expand their market presence.
Special Situations: Provide equity for creative transaction structures including structured minority investments, mezzanine investments, distressed debt investments or private investments in public companies.
Formation Capital: Provide growth capital to early-stage companies in sectors where we have unique and value-added expertise.
HFI differs from a typical investment firm by managing its own capital without the restrictions often found with institutional private equity funds. We provide an attractive alternative to companies and executive teams in search of committed partners who want the flexibility to take a long-term value oriented perspective to build great companies over time. With significant financial resources and liquidity, HFI can often expedite transactions without the need for external financing and can structure investments to meet a wide range of operational or personal requirements.
Principally utilizing a "buy and build" mindset, our investment approach includes both organic growth as well as selective acquisition strategies. HFI's principals are experienced private equity investors and operators having been involved in a wide range of successful growth businesses across diverse industries. Our patient approach coupled with the HFI team's unique background and experience can assist operating partners with: Refining the business strategy and performance objectives; Identifying, monitoring and improving key performance metrics;
Accessing well regarded external resources utilizing our extensive contacts and relationships; Analyzing acquisitions, divestitures and major capital projects; and Providing macroeconomic understanding and insight.
