Tiger Global Management is a hedge fund that invests in venture capital (>$4bn under management), long-short public equities, private equity, and other asset classes. Tiger is based in New York. It is one of the largest non-specialist venture investors in the world. Tiger Global Management was founded by Chase Coleman, who formerly worked with Julian Robertson as a technology analyst at Tiger Management, one of the first hedge funds, founded in 1980. Tiger Management peaked at $22bn of AUM before closing in 2000 following a period of poor performance.
