Throughout the years, the firm has taken a collaborative approach to working with our management teams so that, together, we can help our companies reach their full potential. Grok Ventures
Grok Ventures is the private investing vehicle of Mike Cannon-Brookes, co-founder of Atlassian and one of Australia's most successful technology entrepreneurs. Grok Ventures invests in fast-growing technology-enabled businesses with world-class management teams who are solving big problems. Grok particularly likes food and energy companies. We have private, patient, long-term capital, with the flexibility to participate from early-stage or seed financing through to late stage funding rounds (although we prefer to be involved earlier).

PEP was founded in 1998 by senior Australian partners of the leading strategy consulting firm Bain & Co.
Bailador Technology Investments (BTI)
Bailador is a growth capital fund listed on the ASX and focused on the information technology sector. Bailador takes minority stakes in businesses within the technology sector that are seeking growth stage investment. We look for founder-run businesses that have a 2-6 year operating history, with a proven business model and repeat revenue generation, and an international customer base within a large market. Bailador especially likes the following business models: eCommerce, subscription-based internet businesses, online marketplaces, software, SaaS, high value data, online education, telecommunication applications and services.
Pemba Capital Partners
Pemba Capital Partners (formerly RMB Capital Partners) is a leading investor in small and mid sized private businesses in Australia and New Zealand. Since inception in 1998, the investment firm has completed over 100 transactions, partnering with the owners and managers of private businesses to help them accelerate growth. We are able to be flexible on investment timeframes and can adopt a wide range of structures, including minority ownership stakes. Pemba Capital Partners take a conservative attitude towards debt and generally avoid highly geared businesses. We understand the challenges and complexities that come with a growing business, such as balancing the need for more capital with personal financial risk, family and management dynamics, as well as private ownership structures.
Advent Partners
Advent Partners is a Melbourne based private equity firm specialising in mid-market businesses. It is one of Australia's most experienced managers, having invested in more than 90 companies over more than 30 years. Advent can do both minority and majority investments, with shareholdings ranging from 33 to 95%. It usually seeks to exit within three to five years. Advent has a broad industry focus, with the only exceptions being property development, agriculture and resources.
