We are able to be flexible on investment timeframes and can adopt a wide range of structures, including minority ownership stakes. Pemba Capital Partners take a conservative attitude towards debt and generally avoid highly geared businesses. We understand the challenges and complexities that come with a growing business, such as balancing the need for more capital with personal financial risk, family and management dynamics, as well as private ownership structures.
Advent Partners

It is one of Australia's most experienced managers, having invested in more than 90 companies over more than 30 years. Advent can do both minority and majority investments, with shareholdings ranging from 33 to 95%. It usually seeks to exit within three to five years. Advent has a broad industry focus, with the only exceptions being property development, agriculture and resources.
Direct Capital NZ
Direct Capital is New Zealand's largest private equity fund and one of its oldest, having raised five funds since commencing in 1994. Direct Capital is interested in mid-market investment opportunities in Australia and New Zealand, with proceeds usually used for growth (onshore or offshore), acquisitions, or for succession planning strategies. We make both minority and majority investments. We bring both capital and expertise, and work alongside existing owners to grow business value. We are especially adept at expansion into Australia, and helping with board appointments and governance.
Next Capital
Next Capital is a leading independent Australian private equity firm, specialising in providing buy-out funding for small to medium growth businesses, typically valued between A$50 million and A$200 million. The Next Capital team has a strong operational focus, based on cultivating successful partnerships with investee company founders and management over many years. We focus on expansion capital and small to mid-market buyouts in Australia and New Zealand, and seek to back investee companies for the medium to long term, rather than seek unsustainable short-term rewards. We will typically take an equity position in a business that can generate value over three to five years, but are prepared to hold investments for up to 10 years if appropriate. We do not seek to aggressively use debt. In our experience, growth businesses require headroom to expand and the flexibility to take advantage of opportunities as they arise, unencumbered by unsustainable levels of gearing.
