About
This will be Deerpath's seventh fund and like all previous raises will focus on making exclusively senior first lien loans to sponsor backed businesses in the US lower middle market. These are well established businesses with enterprise values of between USD 50mil to USD 200mil and loan sizes ranging from USD 25mil to USD 100mil. This part of the US direct lending market provides investors the best risk adjusted returns, with strong income yields but with far lower levels of leverage when compared with the core and upper middle market whilst also providing the most lender protective covenant structures. These floating rate loans are seeing base rates close to 5% and when combined with spreads greater than 6.5% then all in gross yields are currently between 11-13%.
