About

Walden Venture Capital is a venture fund focused on early stage technology investments. Walden VC looks for companies at the 'sprout stage', which is defined as having demonstrated a breakthrough core technology, product or brand with mass market potential. This is broadly in line with Series A financings. In the case of core, game-changing technology, we can invest at the post prototype, pre-commercialisation stage, although we prefer the company to be more advanced. In the case of products or brands that are less about the technology, we look for companies with engaged users, even if that user base is small. Walden VC generally only takes meetings where we can trial the product, as this is core to our thesis. We are closer to angel investors in terms of our investment size, and we focus deeply on each investment. We especially like digital media and cloud services for consumer and enterprise, including infrastructure, services and content. This is our core skill set.
