Today, Sassoon invests in and owns businesses in a variety of industries, especially in retail, food & beverage, technology, real estate, and education. We also actively invest in new and established fund managers. The Sassoon family has a long history, with their wealth originating through merchant and trade activities in the 18th century onwards.

We participate in both privately negotiated and syndicated deals. HPS was originally formed in 2007 as a division of Highbridge Capital Management.

Golden Alpha is a family investment vehicle of the Sohmen family. Golden Alpha invests both directly and through external fund managers, in both private and public investments. The Sohmen family has an operating business, BW Group, which is a leading maritime group founded in 1995 and involved in oil and gas transportation, floating gas infrastructure, environmental technologies and deepwater production.

The Cooper Family Office manages the investments of the Cooper Family of Florida. The Cooper Family Office invests globally in hedge funds, private equity and venture funds, in addition to direct investments in operating companies and other private opportunities, including real estate. We also invest in certain early and later stage startup ventures, and will, on occasion, invest seed capital with new managers. We also co-invest extensively with other family offices. The Cooper Family Office was formed by Howard Cooper, who primarily generated his wealth from stock trading.
