About

NextView Ventures is a seed-stage venture firm headquartered in Boston. Nextview invests in technology driven companies redesigning what we call the Everyday Economy, which encompasses a wind range of startups primarily (but not only) focused on serving consumers, including in food, housing, apparel, transport, health, work, money and entertainment. We invest at the pre-seed and seed stage and usually invest before meaningful traction. Nextview was founded in 2010 by Dave Beisel (previously Venrock), Rob Go (Spark Capital) and Lee Hower (Judith Capital). Nextview Ventures raised its first $21m fund in 2012, a $40m fund in 2014 and a $50m fund in 2017.

Foundry Group
Foundry Group is a Colorado-based venture firm that invests in early-stage and growth-stage companies headquartered in the US and Canada. Foundry Group also invests in select, newly-formed venture capital fund managers. Foundry Group formed in 2007 and originally focused on Seed and Series A investments. It raised a growth-stage fund in 2014 (Foundry Group Next), and a fund dedicated to investing in other venture funds (Foundry Group Next) in 2016. Regardless of the size of our initial investment, the size and structure of our funds allow us to continue to fund portfolio companies through their entire financing lifecycles. In addition, our venture capital fund investments give us insight and access to a large number of venture-backed companies at varying stages while extending the reach of our overall network. In addition to providing capital, we leverage our experience in starting and growing companies, our expertise in the technology industry, and our network of relationships to help outstanding entrepreneurs and venture capital fund managers turn great ideas into great companies.
Venrock
Venrock is a venture capital firm headquartered in Palo Alto that focuses on disruptive early-stage technology startups. Venrock partners with entrepreneurs who have grand ambitions and want to tackle big, hard problems that most think impossible. Venrock today consists of two separate programs: a traditional venture capital program, focused on early stage investing in healthcare and technology companies; and a later-stage healthcare program, which implements a venture capital-like long-term approach to investment opportunities in small capitalization public companies and late-stage private healthcare companies. Venrock was formed in 1969 as a venture arm of the Rockefeller family (the name Venrock being a compound of Venture and Rockefeller), who have a long history of venture-style investing dating back to the early 20th century.
FirstMark Capital

FirstMark was founded in 2008 as a spinoff of Pequot Ventures, owned Pequot Capital Management.
Uncork Capital
Uncork Capital is a Palo Alto based venture capital firm that invests seed capital into technology startups, especially in the sectors of e-commerce, mobile services and Software as a Service (SaaS). Uncork Capital is one of the most active seed investors in Silicon Valley, having made more than 200 companies and successfully exited more than 60. Unlike many investors, we have and will continue to invest in hardware and frontier/deep technology (e.g. space, robotics, AR/VR). Although we focus on seed investing, we have a separate fund that pursues follow-on investments into mature, existing portfolio companies. We stay deeply involved with the founding team throughout the most intense period of a company's life. The early years. As new investors join the board, we transition out to make room. Even then, we remain supportive and available to the team for the whole journey, no matter what the outcome. What do we look for? Outliers and outperformers who use technology to solve real problems for real people and real businesses. Products or services that are differentiated and special. You should be obsessed with the idea and uniquely qualified to build and scale it. The sector you are targeting should be large enough to support a few public companies. Uncork Capital was previously known as SoftTech until its name change in 2017.

Aspect Ventures
Aspect ventures is an early stage venture capital firm based in the United States. We invest primarily at the Series A, and occasionally Seed, stage, and continue to back our entrepreneurs. We have deep investment expertise, having invested and worked alongside entrepreneurs across several market cycles and having backed founders who have created enduring companies and generated billions of dollars of returns. We believe in surrounding an entrepreneurial team with more than one set of insights, experiences, perspectives, and networks to maximize founder success. We are not limited by a particular check size or ownership percentage when we invest in a company. We are focused on getting the right team around the table for our entrepreneurs at every step of their company's growth - from seed to maturity.
