Foundry Group is a Colorado-based venture firm that invests in early-stage and growth-stage companies headquartered in the US and Canada. Foundry Group also invests in select, newly-formed venture capital fund managers. Foundry Group formed in 2007 and originally focused on Seed and Series A investments. It raised a growth-stage fund in 2014 (Foundry Group Next), and a fund dedicated to investing in other venture funds (Foundry Group Next) in 2016. Regardless of the size of our initial investment, the size and structure of our funds allow us to continue to fund portfolio companies through their entire financing lifecycles. In addition, our venture capital fund investments give us insight and access to a large number of venture-backed companies at varying stages while extending the reach of our overall network. 8VC is an early-stage venture capital firm based in San Francisco. 8VC's mantra is: 'the world is broken: let's fix it', and this defines our investment mantra. We look to invest in software, biotechnology, hardware, and other technology-enabled startups. We have raised separate seed stage, early-stage, co-invest and follow-on funds. 8VC was founded in 2015 by Joe Londsdale, Alex Kolicich, Jake Medwell, and Drew Oetting.
