We invest in and work side by side with Melbourne based, values aligned entrepreneurs creating novel businesses.
We have three sectors of interest and focus:
1. TaaS (Transport as a service)
2. Renewable energy technology
3. SaaS (Software as a service)
We generally invest $75k-$200k per investment through services and as you grow we seek to follow-on through the same mechanism.

We have private, patient, long-term capital, with the flexibility to participate from early-stage or seed financing through to late stage funding rounds (although we prefer to be involved earlier).
Pacific Equity Partners
Pacific Equity Partners (PEP) is the largest private equity firm in Australia and New Zealand. PEP invests through buyouts and growth capital into a wide range of industries including industrial services, energy, consumer products, entertainment and financial services. PEP prefers to invest in companies with major operations in Australia or New Zealand and with Enterprise Values between A$200m and A$1bn. It typically invests for between three and six years. PEP was founded in 1998 by senior Australian partners of the leading strategy consulting firm Bain & Co.
Direct Capital NZ
Direct Capital is New Zealand's largest private equity fund and one of its oldest, having raised five funds since commencing in 1994. Direct Capital is interested in mid-market investment opportunities in Australia and New Zealand, with proceeds usually used for growth (onshore or offshore), acquisitions, or for succession planning strategies. We make both minority and majority investments. We bring both capital and expertise, and work alongside existing owners to grow business value. We are especially adept at expansion into Australia, and helping with board appointments and governance.
Pioneer Capital NZ
Pioneer Capital is a private and growth equity fund focused on New Zealand businesses. We focus on New Zealand businesses managed by highly capable teams, expanding in large international markets, earning meaningful revenue and delivering high value products and services to their customers. Typically these businesses export the majority of their products and services. We support our investee businesses with both capital and strategic involvement alongside management. We have contributed to growth on every occasion. For example, we have assisted in: setting strategic goals; hiring executives and directors; making acquisitions; refinancing; tracking market developments; assessing public market options; managing difficult situations; and identifying and engaging in-market partners, customers and specialist co-investors.
Maui Capital
Maui Capital is an Auckland based private equity firm that invests alongside founders in Australian and New Zealand businesses. Maui takes both minority and majority (control) positions in a wide variety of industries. Maui especially likes industry aggregation opportunities, business turnarounds, and companies with significant growth potential including offshore expansion.
