Index Ventures is a global venture capital firm headquartered in San Francisco and London. Index invests in technology companies, especially in the marketplace, eCommerce, Big Data, Gaming, Open Source and Security sectors, where we have deep expertise. Index backs the best and most ambitious entrepreneurs who want to build large, global businesses. We find these entrepreneurs wherever they are in the world, and have invested in more than 24 countries and 39 cities since founding. We provide full service to each of our portfolio companies. Unlike other VC's, when we invest, every partner assists and is available to our investee companies, providing unparalleled access to the expertise we have developed over our investing and industry careers. Historically, we invested in more advanced startups, however since 2005, Index Ventures has also made a number of seed investments where we look to become the first institutional capital into transformative companies and invest $100K to $2 million per seed investment.
