About

Alceon Private Equity is a modern, ambitious and flexible private equity firm that does things a bit differently. We are diversely skilled business, operations and finance specialists within the $6 billion FUM Alceon Group. We invest in mid-market growth companies where we believe we can help more effectively and rapidly realise those companies' potential and consequently deliver outstanding returns to shareholders, founders and investors. We use modern tools, processes and playbooks that build from historically proven approaches but evolved to suit the future, not the past. As part of the successful Alceon Group, we have access to a large network of loyal investors with appetite to grow their wealth through investing in a variety of asset classes. Combined with Alceon Group's significant balance sheet, we think of this as our permanent capital. We then work with corporate advisers and company owners to identify high potential investment opportunities in which to deploy that capital as either a minority or majority stake. But we bring more than just money. We leverage our proven processes, governance and playbooks to work with our portfolio companies to level up their weaker operational areas and accelerate their growth plans. Unlike many of our competitors, we recognise each company has its own timeline so while we work to a successful exit, we do so on a schedule that will generate the best results for the business's shareholders.

Accel-KKR
Accel-KKR is a leading mid-market software and technology investor, established in 2000 as a joint venture between leading venture investor Accel Partners and leading private equity firm KKR. Accel-KKR brings capital, expertise and a network of relationships to our portfolio companies, enabling them to grow faster and more profitably. Throughout the years, the firm has taken a collaborative approach to working with our management teams so that, together, we can help our companies reach their full potential. Accel-KKR focuses primarily on three types of transactions: buyouts of divisions, subsidiaries and business units from public companies; acquisitions and recapitalizations of closely-held private companies; and going-private transactions of small public companies.
Belay Capital Pty Limited
A private equity fund with an Australian focus. We take a collaborative approach to investing, both with the business we invest in, as well as with investment partners. We seek to develop strong relationships with founders and managers to deliver value and growth. We always aim to provide support to management were we can add or introduce value, without encroaching on any managers day to day operational expertise. Our investment approach is flexible, we invest both directly, or through consortiums. We seek out businesses with an operating profit of between $5 - $20 million p.a. We look for business with strong management, in an industry that can provide ample room for growth over a three to five year period. Our investment can assist businesses through succession planning, pre IPO funding, organic and acquisition expansion, management buy-outs/buy-ins or public-to-private transition
Exto Partners
Exto Partners is a diversified private investment firm. We invest in and work with both emerging and established companies to achieve their potential. Exto Partners specialises in providing both expansion and venture capital. We have a portfolio of investments across a broad range of industries, including: education, industrial safety, retail, health, clean tech, mining services and online marketplaces. Unlike other private equity and venture capital firms, we do not subscribe to the theory of focusing on total portfolio returns. We do not assume some investments will fail and hope the poor performance will be outweighed by one or two big successes. Exto Partners concentrates on building core value in each of its portfolio companies rather than relying on financial engineering. We establish innovative, sustainable and high growth business strategies and invest heavily in both people and systems to enable each company to successfully execute on the strategy. We invest in private Australian companies and take a medium term view on business performance. We take meaningful equity positions (30%+) and deliver hands on collaborative engagement with founders, boards and management.
Archer Capital
Archer Capital specialises in mid-market leveraged buyouts and is currently investing Archer Capital Fund 5. Archer Capital Fund 5 seeks mid-market LBO opportunities in Australia and New Zealand, favouring businesses with the opportunity to invest $75 million of equity or higher. Archer Capital considers an active partnership with management throughout the lifecycle of an investment as an essential foundation for success. We acquire companies in equity partnership with management, either the incumbent management team or a buy-in team. We assist managers to acquire or expand businesses by providing capital and, just as importantly, we actively support those managers to grow the value of their businesses and ultimately to realise that value. We bring operational expertise to our portfolio companies as well as financial and strategic capability. The quality of a business is the key to the success of a transaction. Our expertise lies in identifying potential investment opportunities with businesses in a strong market position and/or with growth potential, with strong cash flows and significant opportunities to improve operational performance. Ultimately, our skill lies in increasing and realising the value of a business. In April 2018, Archer Capital announced it would be winding up its operations.
