About

Ellerston Ventures is our first fund dedicated to private investments. We focus on investing in technology companies in the early expansion stage of development, as well as qualifying pre-IPO companies in other sectors (for example, healthcare and consumer staples) that meet the ESVCLP investment rules. By providing patient capital, mentoring management, and implementing value creation strategies, we seek to help our investees reach their full potential while maximising outcomes for investors.

Throughout the years, the firm has taken a collaborative approach to working with our management teams so that, together, we can help our companies reach their full potential. Belay Capital Pty Limited
A private equity fund with an Australian focus. We take a collaborative approach to investing, both with the business we invest in, as well as with investment partners. We seek to develop strong relationships with founders and managers to deliver value and growth. We always aim to provide support to management were we can add or introduce value, without encroaching on any managers day to day operational expertise. Our investment approach is flexible, we invest both directly, or through consortiums. We seek out businesses with an operating profit of between $5 - $20 million p.a. We look for business with strong management, in an industry that can provide ample room for growth over a three to five year period. Our investment can assist businesses through succession planning, pre IPO funding, organic and acquisition expansion, management buy-outs/buy-ins or public-to-private transition

Exto Partners
Exto Partners is a diversified private investment firm. We invest in and work with both emerging and established companies to achieve their potential. Exto Partners specialises in providing both expansion and venture capital. We have a portfolio of investments across a broad range of industries, including: education, industrial safety, retail, health, clean tech, mining services and online marketplaces. Unlike other private equity and venture capital firms, we do not subscribe to the theory of focusing on total portfolio returns. We do not assume some investments will fail and hope the poor performance will be outweighed by one or two big successes. Exto Partners concentrates on building core value in each of its portfolio companies rather than relying on financial engineering. We establish innovative, sustainable and high growth business strategies and invest heavily in both people and systems to enable each company to successfully execute on the strategy. We invest in private Australian companies and take a medium term view on business performance. We take meaningful equity positions (30%+) and deliver hands on collaborative engagement with founders, boards and management.
