About
Cocoon Capital is a Singapore-based early-stage venture capital firm focusing on digital companies across Southeast Asia. Typically we invest post a MVP (Minimum viable product), but where fine-tuning of the product and business model remains. With a stellar track record of its seasoned partners, Cocoon Capital has the experience to help you get your business off the ground.
We have a unique model. We select only 6 companies per year to ensure sufficient capacity to support our founders - a model we have followed for last 15 years. We engage with our start-ups like trusted advisors providing the founding teams additional resources with the objective to guide, counsel and help them develop new skills. To best support our start-ups, we surround ourselves with a range of partners, each experts in their field to support and guide businesses towards global best practices.
Note that we invest in the whole of South East Asia & India, however all companies must have their holding company in Singapore before we write the cheque. We primarily target B2B businesses with a preference for SaaS, ecommerce and fintech. We believe this verticals have the largest chance of success in the current market environment.

We usually start with small investments in early-stage companies, and work with these companies before participating (where appropriate) in larger follow-on fundraisings. We invest in a larger number of companies per fund than most VCs and believe this approach maximises returns to our investors.
